Jill Kramer promoted to CMO at Accenture
Following the retirement of Amy Fuller, current global head of brand Jill Kramer has been promoted to the position of Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. With more than two decades of leadership in advertising and marketing, Kramer has most recently driven significant change, expansion, and reinvention of Accenture’s advertising brand leading to record increases in the quality and efficiency of the consulting firm’s marketing programs. According to Julie Sweet, Accenture’s CEO, Kramer has been “pivotal in driving the success of our brand launch”.
Nick Cole to head newly expanded Restaurant Finance group at MUFJ
With more than 25 years of investment banking experience in the restaurant industry, Nick Cole is set to head up the expanded Restaurant Finance group, which approached US$660bn in US revenues in 2020, at Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, one of the world’s largest financial institutions by assets. Most recently serving as EVP at Wells Fargo and head of speciality finance covering multiple sectors including chain restaurants, gas stations and convenience stores, limited-service chain hotels, prior roles have included as MD at Bank of America’s corporate and investment banking division.
Greg Baxter named CTO of HP Inc.
Joining from MetLife, Greg Baxter has been appointed CTO for HP Inc. and in this role will lead and cultivate the company’s digital capabilities to better serve customers while also working to reduce operating costs. Having begun his career at IBM, where he drove large-scale transformation programmes, Baxter has decades of digital transformation experience.
Currently serving as Chief Digital Officer for MetLife, Baxter has led the digital strategy and platforms, and delivered industry-leading growth through redesigned and expanded digital channels, new product launches, streamlined business processes and customer journeys. He has also worked at Citi where, as Global Head of Digital, he led the firm’s digital transformation across businesses and geographies, and as Managing Partner at Booz where he held numerous executive roles across the firm’s financial services, public sector and digital practices
Ron Gee promoted to CEO of Shiseido Americas
Having served as Interim CEO and as CFO of Shiseido Americas since 2016, Ron Gee has now been officially appointed to President and CEO of Shiseido Americas and will further continue to serve as Global M&A Leader for the Group. A nearly 20-year veteran of the beauty industry, Gee has led businesses across all categories and all channels. Prior to joining Shiseido, Gee served as CFO of the Americas at Coty, Inc., and also previously held various financial leadership positions at L’Oreal USA, working across brands including Maybelline, Garnier and YSL.
During his five-year tenure as CFO, Gee “earned his reputation as a keen business leader, collaborative team builder, skilled problem solver and invaluable partner”, says Masahiko Uotani, Group CEO. As regional CEO, Gee will drive the brand’s strategic vision in America and strengthen the region’s organisational structure, optimising operations and championing its ambitious business objectives.
Former Microsoft exec Vishal Ghotge appointed EVP for Remitly
Former Microsoft and Groupon executive Vishal Ghotge has been snapped up by financial services firm Remitly to lead product development and growth efforts across the US and Canada. Ghotge brings to Remitly almost 20 years of tech industry experience, including more than 15 years leading product growth initiatives at tech behemoths Microsoft and Groupon.
Most recently serving as Chief Product Officer at software firm PayScale, where he was responsible fro product strategy and user experience, Ghotge brings “a unique skill set that propel Remitly’s product vision amid the market’s accelerated shift to digital financial services”, says CEO Matt Oppenheimer. In this new role, Ghotge is charged with driving the firm’s customer-focused product vision and roadmap for North America.
Arthur Hill named Global Head at Northern Trust
Set to lead product strategy and development, Arthur Hill is joining Northern Trust as Senior VP, Head of Product Management for Asset Servicing. Joining from Capgemini where he was a senior director for the firm’s global insurance and financial services group, leading major initiatives for financial services clients successfully delivering strategy, process improvement and digital enablement programmes. With 25 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry, Hill “brings expertise developed over a rich career of programme and team management, strategic planning, execution and solution innovation that drives client experience and digital enablement”, says Paul d’Ouville, Head of Asset Servicing Product and Client Solutions at Northern Trust.
