CEO strategy and energy roadmap

Olivier spoke at the Schneider Electric’s Capital Market Day 2025 event, an annual investor day where the company outlines strategy, growth priorities and sustainability ambitions.

This year’s event, running under the ‘Advancing Energy Tech’ theme, saw Schneider Electric present its strategic roadmap for the energy sector. The core objective is to electrify energy usage and expedite the transition through automation, digitisation and AI.

In his keynote, Olivier explained Schneider Electric’s position to advance energy technology and increase shareholder value, saying: “We are the Energy Technology Partner for our customers across industries, businesses and homes, driving efficiency and sustainability for all.

“We are taking Schneider to the next level of energy and industrial intelligence, the next level of recognition and the next level of cost competitiveness and scalability to capture the opportunities in electrification, automation and digitalisation now and in the future,” he added.

“I am confident this differentiated vision is set to drive strong financial results and enhanced shareholder value over the next five years.”

The future energy landscape

Schneider Electric positions itself as a partner in energy technology, aiming to help electrify, digitalise and automate industries. This approach includes bringing efficiency and sustainability to buildings, data centres and infrastructure.

The company will support businesses with software and services that enable collaboration and provide actionable insights for growth.

It will also provide computing capabilities to simulate and automate systems for flexible, efficient performance.

A central component of Schneider Electric’s path forward is a data cube that facilitates the data ecosystem for its Energy and Industrial Intelligence strategy.

Systems can be pre-trained using Schneider Electric’s extensive installed base of assets and access to energy and process data. This is enriched with its expertise to organise, interpret and contextualise data.

This process is then post-trained with Schneider Electric’s specialisation across its complete portfolio, adapting and optimising data at scale for continuous improvement.

The result is Schneider Electric’s first foundational model. It uses the data cube to deliver physical intelligence by combining the digital twin with asset and domain experience to solve customer challenges.

Using AI for growth

During his keynote, Olivier described how the company can deliver operational excellence. This strategy involves improving cost competitiveness through supplier collaboration and encouraging client partnerships for co-innovation.

It also helps customers operate at scale using AI agents and co-pilots to simplify business processes. Schneider Electric’s systems can assist with performance management, safety, quality and compliance.

Schneider Electric’s strategic path includes accelerating revenue growth from its digital software and service offerings to deliver energy solutions to its customers.

Discussing the updates on LinkedIn, Olivier said: “This is a very important moment for Schneider Electric and our entire ecosystem of customers and partners.

“I am extremely excited by what we can bring to the world at a critical time where AI and energy will transform our lives and businesses. Together we are Advancing Energy Tech to deliver a smarter, more resilient future.”
