Freshworks appoints Kady Srinivasan as Chief Marketing Officer to lead global marketing and support the company’s AI-driven portfolio

Freshworks has appointed Kady Srinivasan as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), bringing over 15 years of experience leading marketing transformations at high-growth Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) companies.

In this role, the cloud-based software company says she will oversee the company’s global marketing strategy and report to Mika Yamamoto, Chief Integrated Customer Growth Officer, who will also continue to manage marketing, customer support and commercial operations.

Discussing the CMO appointment, Mika says in a company press release: “Kady’s mix of experience is a strong fit for Freshworks. She has successfully led large-scale, sustained marketing transformations and built high-performing global marketing engines that drive predictable, measurable growth across PLG, inbound and enterprise go-to-market models.

“On top of her exceptional leadership qualities and proven business results, Kady upholds our values of putting customer needs at the centre of brand building.”

Building experience from high-growth SaaS

Before joining Freshworks, Kady served as CMO at You.com and Lightspeed Commerce, a global payments platform.

At Lightspeed, Freshworks says her achievements led the firm to its first profitable quarter in two decades. These include:

  • Doubling market share in key regions
  • Quadrupling marketing efficiency
  • Helping to drive 25% year-over-year growth

According to her LinkedIn, she also held senior roles at Klaviyo, where she was Senior Vice President and Global Head of Marketing, and at Owlet Baby Care as CMO and Chief Revenue Officer.

Kady also advises high-growth AI startups, including Hightouch and Doss, and serves as a Venture Advisor at Relay Ventures.

“I’m thrilled to join Freshworks at this pivotal moment where AI defines the future of service,” the new CMO says in the company statement.

She adds: “Freshworks is uniquely positioned to lead this shift by delivering uncomplicated, AI-assisted solutions that cut through complexity and genuinely serve the customer.

“I look forward to working with this talented team to amplify our brand and accelerate growth through this efficient and superior path.”

Strengthening the service portfolio

Freshworks has also recently expanded its offerings. In December 2025, the company announced an agreement to acquire FireHydrant, a provider of AI-native incident management software.

The acquisition will combine Freshservice’s IT Service Management (ITSM) capabilities with FireHydrant’s IT Operations Management (ITOM) to create what the firm called a “unified AI-driven ServiceOps solution”.

According to Freshworks, this combination is designed to simplify operations, proactively prevent disruptions and ensure reliable IT service.

Dennis Woodside, CEO of Freshworks

Dennis Woodside, CEO and President of Freshworks, explained: “Our Employee Experience (EX) business continues to demonstrate durable growth, powered by our expansion upmarket, into more departments and into adjacent markets and this acquisition will further accelerate our Freshservice momentum by unifying IT capabilities for our customers.”

By joining Freshworks at this time, Kady will lead marketing for both the existing customer experience and EX solutions and the expanded IT service offerings.

Her background in growing marketing teams and scaling SaaS companies aligns with the company’s focus on simplifying service and operations software for enterprises.
