Huawei Cloud's 2026 partner policies aim to grow its ecosystem, accelerating enterprise AI adoption across major global markets

Huawei Cloud has outlined its strategic direction for 2026, centring on a reinvigorated partner ecosystem designed to capitalise on the accelerating demand for AI-driven enterprise solutions. At its Global Sales Partner Policy Launch in Singapore on 22 January, the company presented a framework built around the theme Shared Intelligence, Shared Success.

Charles Yang, Senior Vice President of Huawei and President of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service, introduced a refreshed set of global sales partner policies designed to power the next chapter of collaborative growth. These policies focus on fostering greater trust, enhancing profitability, simplifying cooperation and promoting growth for partners in a bid to cultivate what the company describes as a healthy, thriving and self-sustaining partner ecosystem.

For C-suite leaders evaluating cloud infrastructure investments, the approach could signal a more stable and transparent partnership model in an increasingly competitive market. The new framework emphasises Huawei Cloud's commitment to building stronger relationships with its partners through clear business boundaries and prioritised support for partner profitability over the next three years.

Strategic infrastructure for AI deployment

In the AI era, a cloud vendor's core competitiveness is shaped by compute, models and data. Huawei Cloud provides a boost to each of these three resources. As global AI compute demand keeps growing, large-scale compute is the solution and supernodes and clusters have become mainstream.

CloudMatrix384 – a high-performance AI super-node developed by Huawei – is considered the most powerful supernode in the industry. For models, Huawei Cloud complements its self-developed Pangu models with ready-to-use open-source models through its model-as-a-service (MaaS) platform.

In terms of data, Huawei Cloud boasts extensive expertise in both data governance and data security. These capabilities could prove decisive for organisations navigating regulatory complexity and data sovereignty requirements.

"Cloud and AI are a 30-year marathon that has only just begun," Charles says. "The partners you choose are just as crucial as your destination. A true partnership is not about short-term benefits, but about a companion for the long haul."

Ecosystem expansion drives revenue growth

Li Shi, President of Huawei Cloud Computing Global Sales, highlighted how Huawei Cloud and its partners have advanced side by side – driving impressive shared growth across markets. In 2025 alone, Huawei Cloud's partner business surged by more than 50%, with its ecosystem now encompassing more than 40 global distributors, 50 core or premier cloud solution providers and more than 4,000 global partners serving hundreds of thousands of paying customers outside China.

The company has refined its customer account classifications and launched a three-pronged framework built around incentives, benefits and policies. In 2025, Huawei Cloud is upgrading its incentive model with four pillars: elevating partner voices through global media platforms; enhancing partner brand visibility with more than 50 global best-practice benchmarks; expanding partner benefits including a larger Market Development Fund; and inviting partners to take part in global marketing initiatives.

The enhanced partner programme reflects Huawei Cloud's recognition that sustainable growth requires deep collaboration rather than transactional relationships. By aligning incentives with long-term partner success, the company aims to create a more resilient ecosystem capable of adapting to rapidly evolving market demands.

This strategic shift comes at a critical juncture as enterprises increasingly seek integrated solutions that combine cloud infrastructure, AI capabilities and industry-specific expertise. Huawei Cloud's partner-centric approach positions the ecosystem to deliver comprehensive solutions that address complex digital transformation challenges across multiple sectors.

Regional momentum in Asia Pacific

Dale Chen, Director of Huawei Cloud Asia Pacific Sales Partner Development, underscored the company's accelerating momentum across the region – now recognised as the fastest-growing mainstream public cloud provider in Asia Pacific. Over the past five years, Huawei Cloud's compound annual growth rate in APAC has surpassed 40%, with more than half of its revenue driven by partners.

Its expanding regional footprint includes more than 50 financial institutions, 200 government and enterprise customers and 500 internet and cloud-native businesses, supported by local teams in more than 10 countries. Together with partners, Huawei Cloud is helping organisations modernise core financial systems, enable AI and XtoB transformation for carriers and enhance operational efficiency across government and internet sectors.

The Asia Pacific region represents a particularly strategic market for Huawei Cloud, with diverse regulatory environments and varying levels of digital maturity creating opportunities for tailored solutions. The company's localised approach, combining global capabilities with regional expertise, has enabled partners to address specific market needs whilst maintaining consistency in service delivery and innovation.

During the conference, partners from Thailand's Vonosis, Singapore's Wormwood, Argentina's Movistar and Turkey's Logosoft shared success stories of expanding into global markets alongside Huawei Cloud. Looking ahead, Huawei Cloud aims to deepen these partnerships, jointly exploring new frontiers in digital transformation and intelligent industry upgrades.
