Amandine Ohayon has been appointed CEO of LVMH-owned Givenchy, effective 9 January
LVMH begins 2026 with another leadership reshuffle as former Stella McCartney CEO Amandine Ohayon takes the helm at Givenchy, replacing Alessandro Valenti

If 2025 was a year of recalibration for LVMH, then 2026 is already shaping up as a moment of decisive action.

The French luxury goods conglomerate steadily reshuffled its leadership across its fashion division throughout 2025, aligning executive changes with creative transitions as part of a broader industry reset.

Brands including Celine, Loewe and Fendi have all seen new creative directors, while Fendi and Kenzo also welcomed new CEOs. As 2026 begins, these structural shifts show no sign of slowing.

The latest move comes at Givenchy, where Amandine Ohayon has been appointed CEO, effective 9 January. She succeeds Alessandro Valenti, who has been in the role since July 2024.

Alessandro will remain in the LVMH ecosystem, taking on the position of Deputy Managing Director in charge of commercial activities at Christian Dior Couture, effective 12 January.

In this role, he will report to Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou, Deputy CEO of Christian Dior Couture, and he will join the house’s executive committee.

This transition signals continuity for the company, as Alessandro has spent more than a decade at LVMH, including serving as President of Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Louis Vuitton.

Discussing Amandine’s new role, Pietro Beccari, recently appointed Chair and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group, said in a statement: “With her unique ability to collaborate with the most creative talents, coupled with her inclusive leadership and retail expertise, I am convinced Amandine will play a pivotal role in further accelerating the new growth chapter of Givenchy, the iconic French haute couture maison.”

A seasoned leader steps in

Amandine arrives at Givenchy with deep experience spanning luxury fashion and beauty. Most recently, she served as CEO of London-based brand Stella McCartney, a role she held while LVMH maintained a minority stake in the brand until early 2025.

Prior to that, she spent more than 18 years at L'Oréal, rising to Managing Director of the group’s luxury division in the UK and Ireland.

In her earlier career, she began her professional journey at LVMH as a Retail and Events Executive for Christian Lacroix at Saks 5th Avenue, New York, giving her long-standing familiarity with the group’s culture.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Givenchy. The house has faced a prolonged period of underperformance during the hardship of the luxury sector for the past two-years due to decreasing luxury demand.

Alongside Creative Director Sarah Burton, who will be presenting her third collection for the house during Paris Fashion Week in March, Amandine is tasked with restoring momentum and sharpening the brand’s position within LVMH’s fashion portfolio.

Reporting lines and renewed momentum

In her new role, Amandine will report directly to Pietro, who took over as Chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group on 1 January, in addition to his ongoing responsibilities as Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton.

Pietro succeeded Sidney Toledano, who handed over the reins at the start of the year after a long tenure shaping the group’s fashion strategy.

Sidney, reflecting on the transition at Givenchy, praised Alessandro’s contribution during a complex period for the house. According to Vogue Business, he said: “Alessandro demonstrated exceptional determination and efficiency in managing Givenchy’s transitional phase.

“As a result, the company is now optimally positioned to leverage its reshaped organisation, thereby facilitating future growth.”

He added that he is “very pleased to see Amandine join Givenchy and continue the development of this ambitious project” alongside Sarah.

As LVMH continues to fine-tune its leadership bench, the new CEO appointment underscores the group’s intent to pair operational experience with creative renewal.

With fresh leadership at Givenchy and a broader reset underway across the fashion group, the latest reshuffle signals a concerted effort to place LVMH’s maisons back on a stronger trajectory for sustainable growth.
