Despite rising global travel warnings and increasing hotel room rates, the Hospitality and Travel industry has seen several indicators of growth in the past three months alone.

For the first time, 26% of travellers are beginning their search for hotels on Booking.com, overtaking Google and other search engines as their source of accommodation-based research.

In addition, 58% of guests are choosing more luxury options as their preferred hotel option and 18% of travellers who begin their search on an online travel agent book directly with hotels.

Industry CEOs have highlighted trends like generational differences in luxury classification, the reliance on AI for research and time management and the development of personalisation technologies for hotel rooms as key areas for growth within the consumer travel industry.
